COMET

AEROBOTICS

About

Comet Aerobotics (CA) is the branch focused on the design of aeronautical and astronautical robotics. Members will learn to design, build, and test various robotic technologies as well as gain experience in industry-level engineering design process and documentation. CA consists of two projects: Lunabotics and Drones Engineering.

Lunabotics: This team will build an autonomous rover for the NASA Lunabotics competition. The rover will be capable of traversing the Lunar surface and constructing a regolith-based berm to aid the Artemis Mission. Members are divided into four sub-teams: mechanical, electrical, embedded, and outreach. The finalist teams will be invited in May to compete at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Merritt Island, Florida.
